Children & Family Therapy

What is family therapy?

Opportunities for families to improve the family system

Family therapy is a type of psychological counseling that opens opportunities for the family to identify family culture and patterns that may be creating distress in the family system.

Much like couples therapy, family therapy attempts to open communication, increase the ability of the family to navigate intense and uncomfortable emotions and improve communication to support healing and resolution for families.

Help & support for struggling teens & adolescents

Teens are struggling profoundly due to the inability to escape from the barrage of social media and unrealistic expectations. Life is so fast-paced and these demands are ever-present due to our increasing technology that teens have no space to simply exist and feel. They lack the necessary skills to slow down, breathe, explore, and recognize their emotions. They struggle to know who they are and recognize their value. Anxiety, depression, and suicide are at critical levels.

We can help and support your teens by creating self-understanding and awareness by teaching them invaluable skills such as:

  • Emotion recognition and regulation
  • Grounding skills
  • Mindfulness
  • Healthy communication
  • Expressing positive needs & self-advocacy

This could help address such things as:

  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Healing trauma
  • Social-Emotional Learning

Peace. Healing. Safety.
